Who Can Tell?
‘Who Can Tell – A Learning Experience’
Introducing a new book by local author ‘Max Grantham’ (Mr Max) now on sale at South Molton Tourist Information.
Who Can Tell relates the experiences of Max Grantham who made the life-changing decision to pack his bags and move to the tiny Central American country of Belize, formerly British Honduras, in 1997. Despite the fact that Max had led a full and active life, the decision to leave South Molton and take up a post in primary education with Voluntary Service Overseas seemed a natural one. The book describes in passionate detail the three years that Max spent living and working in Belize. It provides an in-depth account, which would be hard to beat, of the people, customs, history, bureaucracy and “fun times” he experienced in this former British colony.
Max Grantham was born in Sheffield and trained as an engineer before turning to primary school education. Married for 27 years without family, Max led Devon Cub Scouts for many years before retiring in 1997 to follow a dream and work with young people in the developing country of Belize.
