The George Hotel, South Molton (www.georgehotelsouthmolton.co.uk) has joined forces with South Molton Tourist Information Centre (TIC) to put together a special accommodation and discounted activities package for July, prior to the beginning of the school holidays.

These include some amazing offers, such as book a round of golf, complete with clubs and balls at Chulmleigh Golf Course, and a second player goes for free! Another great day out is on the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway which has its station at Lynton, and offers 25% reduction on tickets to ride. Retail therapy feels extra good when it comes with a 10% discount on original art, sculpture and glass works from Loughrigg Gallery, South Molton. There are also various generous offers on reduced entry to Dartington Crystal, Torrington, Castle Hill House, Filleigh, Exmoor Zoological, Bratton Fleming and Cobbaton Collection near Chittlehampton. In addition The George Hotel is offering 10% on all bar and restaurant meals while South Molton TIC have a number of discounts on merchandise.
The George’s proprietor Cathy Doel says:
“We are delighted to be a long standing member of the South Molton Tourist Information Centre and have worked with them and Atkinson PR to put together this very special package of discounts for the first time this year. We expect this to attract older people in particular, who may choose to holiday in the quieter weeks of July, before the schools break up for the summer and everything suddenly becomes much more hectic! After all, in North Devon our population can double at the height of the season!”
“If this promotion attracts good levels of interest, we hope that it will be repeated for 2015 and could become a regular annual offer. If so we would aim to increase the number of local businesses participating”.
