TARKA POTTERY is an exciting and inspiring clay experience studio in North Devon where there is always something creative happening. 

Located in beautiful countryside with stunning views,  we offer a range of activities and classes suitable for total beginners and those with some experience of pottery.

Our approach is relaxed and informal, with an emphasis on having fun and being creative with clay in a friendly, enjoyable way.  Our quirky family run studio now in its eighth year, is led by Jax Williams with regular assistance from an enthusiastic, professional team, who are trained to make your visit a memorable one.

You can join a regular pottery class, have an occasional potter’s wheel experience or book individual throwing lessons or workshops with family, friends or a group.  Holiday visitors are very welcome.

Our unique potter’s wheel experience is suitable from age just 2 to 102 and our popular children’s holiday workshops are available to book on our website all year round.  

For those looking for a longer time on the wheel, we have some great throwing options to choose from.  All are available to purchase as  on our website.

If you’d like to just unwind and paint pottery we have a great selection of functional and fun ceramics to choose from.
