Regular Weekly Events

Tuesday 10:30-11:00 – Bounce & Rhyme

Wednesday 10:00-12:00 – Computer & Gadget Help; Got a query about your laptop or tablet and want some answers. Pop into the library and we’ll try and answer your questions. Informal drop in session in the library.

Friday 16:00-17:30 – Library Stitchers & Knit and Natter Group – Bring whatever portable project you are working on; swap tips and chat with like-minded crafters. No need to book, just drop in!

Saturday 10:00-12:00 – Lego Club – Come along; be as creative as you like building and playing with Lego!

Wednesday 4th & 18th – 10:00-11:00– Feel Better with a Book– Enjoy the power of short stories and poems read aloud in a small group over coffee. Free session fortnightly, just drop by.

Wednesday 4th – 14:00-16:00– Wednesday Writing group– All writers are invited to join our friendly and informal writer’s group in the library. Just drop by!

Thursday 5th –  18:00 – Helen Hollick Author event– In commemoration of the anniversary of the Battle of Hastings Helen will talk about her book ‘Harald the King’. Refreshments provided. Tickets £2 from the library.

Thursday 12th – 14:30-16:30 – Heritage trail walk & talk around South Molton town centre & afternoon tea at the library. Meet at the library for 14:30; suitable footwear needed. Free event, booking is required through the library. Donations welcomed towards afternoon tea.

Saturday 14th –10:00-12:00 – Creative Writing Group – Discuss ideas and work in progress at this friendly, informal group. No need to book, turn up on the day.

Tuesday 17th – 19:00 – Quiz night– Our popular quiz night is back again! Teams of up to 6; £2 per person. Refreshments provided. Raffle on the night. Register your team at the library.

Friday 20th – 18:00 – Flamenco guitar with Terry Bourne– Terry will explain and play Flamenco guitar whilst readings are shared from Spanish literature. Refreshments provided. Tickets £2 from the library.

Saturday 21st – 10:30 – 12:00 – Family Crafts – Drop in, free craft session the whole family can enjoy, making something different each time.

Tuesday 24th – 14:00- 15:30 – Jenny Kane Writing Workshop – What’s lurking in your haunted house? Design your own haunted house, fill it with spooky creatures, and then turn it into a story. Creative writing workshop 7-11 year olds. Booking is essential, £2 a session.

Wednesday 25th – 13:00-14:00 – Laughter workshop in the library! Find your happy! Introduction to Laughter Yoga with laughter exercises and gentle breathing to improve mental, physical, emotional and social well-being. Free session. Booking is essential through the library as places are limited.

Thursday 26th – 14:00 – Lyn Winters – Dementia Friends – A talk to raise awareness for people who suffer from Dementia and their careers.  Everyone welcome.

Thursday 26th – 18:30 – Small screen at the library; North by North West. As part of our Autumn/Winter film club. Entrance is free but donations are asked for to cover refreshments. No need to book.
