Printmaking Courses
Print Club at Tivvy Museum:
April 12th then first Friday of every month during 2019. I will be running a morning session (10 to 1pm) as well as an afternoon (1.30 to 4.30) from January 2019. For January, Feb and March, we will focus on collagraph. For Feb and March, I’ll have a roller press with me. I’ll also bring the small relief print for those who want to carry on with lino projects.
The club is the first Friday of each month and we run throughout the year. Cost is £25 per session or £100 for 5 (they don’t need to be consecutive).
I’m also thinking of running a Thursday course on linocut for anyone wanting to develop their skills. If you’re interested in this let me know. This will start in the first half of March and run for 6 weeks (2 hours per Thursday evening, 6pm til 8). The cost of this will be £90 for the course.
To book use the contacts page on this website or email lizziemee@hotmail.com or text/phone 07932776498.
I have been teaching art and history with a great many people of all ages for over a decade. I have an up to date DBS check and am signed up to the online update system (so you can check). For risk assessments and more booking information please contact me at lizziemee@hotmail.com
Costs for printing workshops in schools, museums and other venues are £125 for a half day or £200 for a full day. Family days are a little more if more resources and materials are needed (see below for more information).
I offer school workshops and can also deliver art and printing workshops at special event days. I have all the equipment needed to deliver printing activities to hundreds of children and adults, or to a select few who’d like to further their printing knowledge.
School Workshops on offer – delivered to a class, 120 minute sessions (with a short break at the schools convenience)
Nature Investigation for KS1 and KS2
Children will be able to explore types of different trees from prints, life and photographs. They will have a go at playing a giant bingo game and then print their own woodland. Children will have a go at all kinds of printing, including using my beech press for printing ready made lino cuts. The resulting artwork can be on cloth or card and displayed afterwards! If the weather is fine, activities can be done outside.
Mega Printing Experience for KS1 and KS2
I’m happy to work with lots of children at once. I have resources and materials to work with up to 100 children in a two hour workshop. It does require having plenty of adult help as the children rotate in groups but the resources and activities are all ready and planned. The children will make a giant banner on any theme for the school and enjoy an interactive presentation about the history of printmaking from Ancient China to the Gutenberg press.
Reuse, reduce and recycle for KS1 and KS2
Children will make their own printing block from recycled materials. KS2 will be able to have a go with cutting tools and lino pieces, creating their own lino cut or printing block. For KS1 I will bring in every day materials and the children will identify the materials, sort them and then create a textured printing block (using PVA glue etc). All ages will be able to have a go at printing using my beech press, using rollers and sponges to ink.
Family Events and special days
I offer a range of themes for family events. In the past I have delivered nature themed family events but can do other themes. I am open to suggestions and with enough time can prepare something new and bespoke to your site, or event. For workshops on printmaking or a a theme already available I can deliver events for £200-250. If I need to prepare new resources the cost for a days activities is £300. For consecutive days I can offer a reduced rate.

Print Club
Print club members are putting on an exhibition of work themed around the museum collections. Come along and take a look. It starts on 7th September until 21st September 2019.
Print club is a relaxed monthly session at Tiverton Museum for anyone who’d like to explore their creative possibilities. It’s £25 for either a morning (10-1) or afternoon session (1.30pm-4.30pm).
We have different themes for each session but you can also explore your own work. In October, November and December we often do Christmas related printmaking opportunities (but not exclusively). This year, I’d like to explore monoprinting in the Autumn/Winter period. I’m always happy to show people how to use our linocutting equipment and do normally start with that.
First Friday of each month, with just a couple of exceptions!
Print club dates:
2019: September 6th, October 11th, November 1st and December 6th
2020: January 3rd, February 7th, March 6th, April 3rd, May 1st, June 5th, July 3rd and we shall have a month off in August 2020.
Print club is £25 per half day session or you can book 5 sessions for £100…get in touch if you’d like to know more. For more info, pictures of past events take a look at my Facebook page… https://www.facebook.com/lizzieprint/
