Hartland Abbey and Gardens offers a warm welcome to visitors from the end of March until October. It makes a perfect day out in this area of outstanding natural beauty. Hartland Abbey is a fascinating house with a welcoming feel only experienced in a cherished family home with all its treasures and memorabilia collected over many generations. The beautiful 18thC Walled and Woodland gardens, the walks and the parkland provide visitors with extensive grounds through which to wander and enjoy the stunning valley leading down to the Atlantic Ocean. Children relish the freedom to explore the open spaces and winding paths and to experience the natural environment. They love meeting our donkeys, Nutmeg, Becky and young Snowdrop, the wandering peacocks and our flock of black sheep. The Quiz is a great way to keep children amused indoors on a rainy day!

Hartland Abbey is also a unique venue for weddings and special events, with the combination of a stunning house in a beautiful setting and private access to the coast with direct access to the South West Coastal Path. We do hope to see you this year!
