The Devon County Show on May 21-23 at Westpoint, Exeter, is a packed three-day celebration of all that’s great about the local countryside.
Show Secretary, Ollie Allen said they were getting ready to serve up ‘a giant slice of Devon country life’. “The Show offers so much for everyone to enjoy,” she said.
“There will be delicious local food, prize-winning animals, a fantastic array of Westcountry crafts and flowers and six Show rings packed with activity and entertainment.”
Among the highlights will be the freestyle motocross stunt team, The Bolddog Lings and a huge new interactive Farm Wise Devon feature especially for children where they can see where their food comes from as well as ‘have a go’ in a great Food Zone.
Ollie added: “There is something for everyone – come early and stay late at the largest event in the county’s calendar!”
The 120th Show is the curtain raiser for the agricultural showing season in the South West as well as a great day out for all the family. More than 95,000 visitors are expected for what promises to be an entertaining and informative day celebrating Devon food, farming and country life.
Attractions will include:

- A shopaholics’ paradise with outlets spanning 4 x 4s to country clothing to hot tubs and pots and pans

- Spectacular floral and garden displays and demonstrations
- Traditional, historic steam engines and vintage vehicles
The Show is running a new advance sales tickets promotion this year will prices rising ‘airline style’.
The family-friendly Show is offering two children per paying adult free entry on Saturday (May 23rd), the first day of half-term.
Parking is free and extensive and, since last year’s Show, tens of thousands of pounds have been spent on the car parks.
