Bumper Weekend of Fun

We are all very much looking forward to the beginning of December because thats when South Molton will be holding its BUMPER CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL. All sorts of fun and entertainment happening from the 6th to the 10th December.

Thursday 6th to Monday 10th December 2012 is The Christmas Tree Festival at St Mary Magdalene’s Church – Organisations, Schools and Businesses of the town will be using their artistic flair to decorate trees to reflect their group. Well worth a look.

Friday 7th December sees the Winter Wonderland – Winter Wonderland gets off to a great start with the Children’s Lantern Parade at 6pm and the fun continues into the evening with: A Seasonal Pannier Market, Late Night Shopping, Town Band playing traditional carols, Goodies to eat, drink and buy and Santas Grotto – A wonderful Christmassy evening out for all the family.

on the 8th & 9th December in the Assembly Rooms 10am to 4pm there is the Vintage Fair – This two day Christmas extravaganza promises all manner of festive cheer with live music, delicious food and fabulous sellers who will, no doubt, have a marvellous selection of vintage items to make the perfect Christmas gift. – Quilts, Cushions, Throws, Leather Bags and Shoes, Painted Furniture, Kitchenalia, Fabrics and Haberdashery, Gardenalia, Jewellery, Vintage Toys and Bears and so much more…

and finally our Christmas Fatstock Show on Sunday 9th December – Show classes for sheep and bullocks and a variety of farm animals to view or buy in the subsequent auction in the Pannier Market. Also competitions, trade stands, children singing carols, local food and drink on offer and demonstrations of traditional crafts. South Molton Vintage Rally will be displaying a wide range of predominantly agricultural vehicles.
