The Stables are to be found in the village of Swimbridge the one time home of Parson Jack Russell and his terriers. Although the parson has long gone the Jack Russell pub is still here serving good food and ale.
After a days walking, sightseeing, swimming or surfing come back and relax in the sauna or have a drink on the patio looking out onto the garden.
Exmoor national park, the excellent beaches of Saunton and Woolacombe, the rugged North Devon coast and even Dartmoor national park are all within a reasonable distance for days out exploring.
