South Molton Food Fest

 SOUTH MOLTON’S FIRST FOOD FEST – Sunday 29 March 

South Molton Business Association’s (SMBA) first Food Fest will be held on Sunday 29 March. The event, which will be held in the town’s covered Pannier Market, which will be full of stalls showcasing produce which is amongst the very best in the area.

Savoury fare will include delicious pies, snacks or meals from Jack Chilli, The Cheese Larder, Wessex Pastry and Olives Plus. Responsibly sourced and reared meats will be offered by Yetland Farm, West Kidland Farm, and Evenlade, while Bulldog Fish Farm and Plaice to Place will sell a variety of fresh fish. food fest-altered

For those of a sweeter tooth, mouth watering cakes, bakes and biscuits will be on offer from Jakes Bakes, Vanessa Clark Cakes, Emily’s Pantry, Muffin Heaven, Hazels Cafe and Wheelwright Kitchen.  Chanters, South Molton’s own family bakery will also be selling their artisan breads and traditional range of irresistible tea time favourites.  

Garden Jars and The Proper Marmalade Company have homemade, fruit filled jams and spicy chutneys while Barton Fruitie specialise in a great selection of dried fruits for cooking or healthy snacking. 

As Devon is famous for its traditionally made cider, why not come along, sample and buy from local company Hancocks, while Monarch Liqueurs will offer a variety of alternative alcoholic tipples.  South Molton Food Fest 2015

For children, big and small, Bonbons and Suzy Sweet Tooth will have a delightful selection of sweets seldom seen on the average high Street, plus delicious Dunstaple Ice cream.  Melchoir, who supply some of London’s most prestigious stores, will be joined in a confectionery extravaganza by Chocolats de Caprine.
